While the chances on going for Italy trip this year are rather low, we still learn the 4 songs for the competition. Well, they're really nice and it's a shame if we don't get to go. But anyway, just to let you guys know how nice the songs are, I've embedded them.

Balloons

One day, in an empty street, a man was selling balloons.He filled balloons of bright colours(red, blue, green) with helium and released them into the sky, hoping to attract people's attention. A young little African-American boy saw the balloons and went to the man. In filling the balloons with helium and releasing them, the man did not notice the little boy. The boy tugged his pocket. Thinking that the boy wanted to buy a balloon, he bent down beside him and held on to a balloon, intending to give it to the boy.

"Can black balloons fly too?"The boy suddenly asked the man.
The man, though not highly educated, knew what the boy meant.

He replied "It is not the colour of the balloon that determines whether it can fly, but it is the air that is filled inside it."

Beaten by the Devil

Tonight after coming back from Singapore expo, I decided to have a last game of Battlefield Heroes before bed. As I played, I constantly got killed by this guy called DickheadTheThird (I know, what kind of name is that?) He was hacking. I could stand one field away invisible and he could just pluck me off like an apple from a tree. Honestly, I was pissed. I was way beyond pissed. I threw him vulgarities and I even joined his team just so I could teamkill him. I'd have to admit it, it felt great to vent out my anger at him. I felt victorious. But in actual fact, I was utterly defeated. I sinned badly. So now I ask The Lord to forgive me as well as help me to forgive that guy. Yea it's really retarded that I acted so immature-ly. At the end of the day, I just realised that I wasted 2 hours trying to kill that fellow.Sheesh how retarded can I get?

CHORAL ELITE CONCERT

I went to watch my brother perform today at the esplanade. It's was his last performance with VJChoir. I didn't know many of the songs but boy, the choristers from the Vocal Consort, Victoria Chorale and Victoria Junior College could really sing! The tenors sounded so good. So rounded, so light. They were one sound, and it was really fantastic. When I listened to this talented group of people, I wonder whether I'll ever be as good as them. I've got a long way to go. Well, I'd better work hard if I want to achieve the results I desire. Here is one of the songs they performed that I knew.Pardon the humming along if you can hear it.

Beaten by the Devil, again.

This afternoon I went down to play soccer. It started off pretty well.Scored a few nice goals, made some nice passes. Yea but when the little kids came, we played. Sure I still did some nice passes and scored some nice goals. But the problem was, the keeper was letting in lots of unnecessary goals, and when I did provide my teammates with passes that leave them 1 on 1 with the keeper, they shoot it wide or kick it sky high. Furthermore, I hardly got the ball. I kept calling for passes, but they never came. I was so frustrated. So when the ball finally did come, I just whacked it as hard as I could. It was right here where I failed. Man, I think I got anger management issues dude. I got to keep it together.sigh.

Review of 2009 and 2010 resolutions

Okay 2009 has been a tiring, scary , somehow fun, unfulfilling year. Many things happened. Let's organize the stuff in an orderly manner


GOOD:

• We got Gold With Honours for SYF.
  
• I'm closer with my brother now.
• God blessed me with good results although I didn't work hard.
• I made new friends.
• I brought 5 friends to church!
• I found my Church
• I've led my sec 2 life pretty interesting-ly
  

BAD:

• I failed 2 tests in a year.
  
• My brother and I quarreled with our parents about the Christian/Taoist issue.
• Anger managment stuff.
• I'm becoming slack-er
• I've become more easily irritated.
• I tend to bottle up my feelings more than before.
• I've become pretty quiet so I've somehow got to the state that I forgot how I should go around talking to people and it feels weird.

Yea that's not really all of it but that's all I could think of at the moment. Well, I guess I should adopt Rule #32 from Colombus Ohio(Zombieland) - Enjoy the little things. Well life is a journey and we all have to walk through rough paths at times. But you know there'll always be the green meadows that are in stall for us. K umm so here's my list of resolutions for next year.

• Score better grades
• Be more hardworking
• Be more independent
• Do better in choir
• Do better as a son of God
• Manage time better
• Manage anger and stress better
• Be more confident
• Be A LOT MORE approachable
• Be more human
